Charges have been filed and warrants issued for two men from the Des Moines area in connection with a burglary in Keswick last week that was caught on video. According to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Hostetler and Derrick Penelton have been charged with 3rd degree burglary, a class D felony. The Oskaloosa Police Department located and identified the alleged perpetrators, though they weren’t apprehended and are still believed to be at large.
The sheriff’s office says the men have been known to frequent the Washington area, and believes they may still be driving a white Chevrolet Sonic. If they are located, the sheriff’s office urges people to contact their local law enforcement agency.
Two men were caught on video committing the burglary, and the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office posted the video to their Facebook page. The sheriff’s office thanked everyone who viewed and shared the post, and while the video wasn’t of high quality, they believe it helped identify the suspects.
