While investigating suspicious activity, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office has found itself in the middle of the Pokemon Go phenomenon. For the past several weeks, they have received numerous reports of vehicles being driven in a slow and suspicious manner in and around rural areas and small towns. As a result of many of the investigations, it was determined the occupants of these vehicles have been playing Pokemon Go on their cell phones. While this occurrence turned out to be a false alarm, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to continue to report suspicious activity in the area. Pokemon Go is a cell phone game where people catch the digital creatures at various locations in the real world.
