At last night’s Mid-Prairie homecoming pep rally and coronation, students Daniel Riggan and Lily Schlabaugh were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Schlabaugh, the daughter of Ryan and Stephanie, is a captain on the Mid-Prairie dance team, is a member of the choir, and plans on studying elementary education in college. She said, “It was pretty surprising. I’m kinda quiet so, it just made me feel really good and really thankful to go to Mid-Prairie.” Riggan is the son of Brian and Cindy and plans to enter the workforce after graduating. He said, “Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I feel really proud. I’m excited for it.”

The rest of the 2016 Mid-Prairie homecoming court is Ally Bontrager, Rebecca Frantz, Baily Herschberger, Levi Duwa, Duncan McCain, and Jared Miller. In other homecoming news, the seniors won both the girls powder puff and the boys kickball tournaments. Listen Friday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. for live play-by-play coverage of the football game against Camanche on AM 1380, FM 102.5, and KCIIRadio.com.
