Washington County Conservation has been pleased with the record-breaking usage of Marr Park this year, but they believe they can improve the overall experience by upgrading the park’s picnic tables. According to Conservation Director Steve Anderson, there are many picnic tables throughout the park that are not up to their desired standard, so they approved a $10,000 budget item to find replacements. They spent a previous meeting considering which tables to get, and the new ones have now been ordered. Anderson said the tables in some of the rental buildings were in dire need of replacement, and he’s looking forward to getting the new ones in place.
