After a week of marching and practicing music, 13 members of the Washington High School marching band are traveling to Indianapolis. The Demons held their annual band camp at the high school this week. The group is now traveling to watch the Drum Corps International World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium, where groups from across the country perform.

This year the Washington High School band is led by drum majors Jessie Buchholz and Meredith Raber. The Demons will march a show with a theme of the Battle of Thermopylae, telling the story of the ancient battle between the outnumbered Greeks and the massive Persian army. The band’s friends and family night will be held September 15th at 7 p.m. at Case Field and the field show will be performed at half time of the home football games.
