In total, 22 bicycles were given away to local children Friday during RAGBRAI. Variety – the Children’s Charity awarded the bikes to kids who attend Stewart Elementary School who didn’t already have two wheels of their own. Megan Grandgeorge with Variety thanked RAGBRAI for inviting the group along the route to donate bicycles at five overnight stops. Each child also received a helmet to wear while they pedal around Washington.
