The 124th annual Louisa County Fair kicks off on Sunday with the fair parade at 4 p.m. Fair Board President Tony Humiston says there’s no cost to enter the fair, and that’s one of the things that separates the Louisa County Fair from others. It’s free parking and free admission, and everyone is free to look at anything at the fair at no cost.

Humiston believes county fairs are important, especially for kids. They get to do projects and work with their animals throughout the year, and it’s a great opportunity for their families to support them. He added it’s important that 4-H and FFA continue to help educate children. The Louisa County Fair runs from Sunday through Friday at the fairgrounds in Columbus Junction.
