A therapy dog, a summer band trip and board goals will be discussed at this week’s Washington school board meeting. The board will first tour the high school construction project, beginning at 6 p.m. The band trip is in regards to the annual trip to Indianapolis to attend the Drum Corps International Finals in August. If approved, it will be the band’s ninth trip to the event that costs students $225 each.

The therapy dog discussion will include Theresa Beenblossom, the new principal at Lincoln Elementary who is coming from the Mid-Prairie school district where she had a therapy dog.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
