Today is the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, and in honor of those facing Alzheimer’s disease residents at the United Presbyterian Home are taking part in a special activity. From 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. residents will be ‘NuStepping’ – a recumbent cross trainer machine that provides a full body workout for all levels of ability. The goal is to raise $12,000 to go to the Alzheimer’s Association. As of June 15th, the group had collected $6,000 for the cause.
