Two area schools are combining their efforts to teach youth the game of soccer in southeast Iowa.
Mid-Prairie and Iowa Mennonite school, with the help of Mid-Prairie alum Austin Errthum are hosting a youth soccer camp July 11th through the 13th at Iowa Mennonite School. Kindergarten through fourth grade will be on the field from 8-9:30a.m. fifth through eighth grade will play from 10a.m. to noon. The camp will cover instruction on proper warm up, individual skills like dribbling, passing, defending and shooting, formal soccer terminology and short sided games. The camp will be operated by Errthum, a three time all-state selection at Mid-Prairie. Golden Hawk head coach Pat Cady and IMS head coach Marcus Miller will be in attendance. Registration is due by July 1st.
