The Washington sophomore golf team of Sarah Nacos and Dalton Myers posted a top-10 finish in Tuesday’s Class 2A Co-Ed Golf Meet.

The pair of soon-to-be juniors took on 52 other duos from across the state at the Coldwater Links Course in Ames, the same course Nacos won the Class 4A individual title at last week. Washington finished in a four-way tie for fifth place, shooting a 77. Waukee seniors Paige Seiser and Tom McLaughlin won the Class 2A tournament, collectively carding a 69.

As freshmen, Nacos and Myers placed eighth overall in the co-ed meet with a score of 81 strokes.  Last year’s event was held at the Briggs Woods Golf Course in Webster City.
