Over 3,000 Washington County residents cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary election, equal to 21.93% of the registered voters. County Auditor Dan Widmer says the last primary election only had 14% of registered voters take part. Wellman precinct had the most people show up to the polls in person Tuesday with 431 votes cast. Also, 541 people voted by absentee, either early in person or by mail.
