Over 1,000 rubber ducks will go for a swim in Centennial Fountain in Washington’s Central Park Saturday before being thrown out to bystanders during Saturday’s 69th edition of Ridiculous Day. KCII’s Big Red Radio will be on site for all of the ridiculous festivities. Dean Kurtz and Angie Staley share the ducks are the highlight of Ridiculous Day. The multi-colored ducks are tossed to the crowd by members of the water rescue team. Each duck will have a business name written on the bottom and can be redeemed for a $2 bill at that business.

The annual event is the longest running Ridiculous Day in the state with businesses having sidewalk sales and specials beginning at 9 a.m. KCII’s Big Red Radio will be on site for all of the ridiculous festivities. The Optimist Club bike auction will be at 10 a.m., followed by the princess and superhero contests. The annual parade begins at 2 p.m. and Saturday evening the airport will host a concert.
