For the second time in school history, the 17-1 Wildcats’ boys soccer team is headed to the state tournament. The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union soccer team defeated Albia 3-0 Saturday to advance to the first round of the state tournament in Des Moines. The team last appeared in the state tournament in 2014. Thursday the Wildcats will go up against Carroll Kuemper Catholic, who is 16-2. The game begins at 12:15 p.m., listen for live play-by-play coverage on KCII.
