Two bands from Washington marched in the annual Tulip Festival in Pella. On Friday, the Washington High School and Middle School marching bands took part in the afternoon parade. The high school had 66 students participate and they played Invicta. Overall, 18 school districts were represented. Pella’s Tulip Time was first held in 1935 and the event celebrate’s the town’s Dutch heritage.
