The FFA Chapter at Mid-Prairie high school received several overall program awards at the recent state convention in Ames.

The Mid-Prairie Chapter was recognized as a 10th place, gold rated superior chapter in the National Chapter Program. This rating is based on an application that judged the group’s involvement in student, chapter and community activities. With this recognition Mid-Prairie will now compete at a national level to determine which star rating they will receive at the National FFA Convention. This is the 20th straight year Mid-Prairie has been invited to the National Chapter Competition. Mid-Prairie’s FFA was also recognized as a gold sponsor of the Iowa FFA Foundation, recipient of the WHO Public Relations Award and sponsor of the Agriscience Plant Research Proficiency Award. The National FFA Convention will be held in October in Indianapolis.
