The Mid-Prairie girls golf team participated in two meets this week.
On Monday, the Golden Hawk girls traveled to Tipton to battle the Tigers in a River Valley Conference dual. Tipton edged Mid-Prairie 206-209 to win the event. Allyson Wertz led Mid-Prairie, taking home meet medalist honors with her 45. Other scores for the Golden Hawks included Paige Slaubaugh with a 48, Olivia Nisly with a 56, Lindsey Palmer at 60, Kenzie Bontrager with a 64 and Abby Statler with a 68.
On Wednesday night, The Golden Hawks hosted a River Valley Conference quadrangular at Blue Top Ridge at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. The final results were tight. Wilton took the title with their team score of 203, West Liberty was second with a 208, Mid-Prairie was third at 209 and West Branch was fourth with a 222. Alyssa Anderson of Wilton was meet medalist with her 46. The Golden Hawks were led on the night by Allyson Wertz with a 50. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Paige Slabaugh with a 51, Olivia Nisly and Lindsey Palmer at 54, Kenzie Bontrager and Abby Statler each shot 65s.
The Golden Hawks are off until Monday when they travel to West Liberty.
