Downtown Washington will give a nod to the summer Olympics next week during the annual Washington County Health Center event Kidzfest. April Cuddeback, WCHC Health Promotions Coordinator, the youth health and wellness fair will kick off with a torch run around the square. They had a writing contest for area third, fourth and fifth grade students, and the winner from each grade will carry the torch one side of the square and Ann Williams, a former Olympic torch runner, will carry it the final leg.

There will be a variety of booths with activities for youth. Kidzfest will be held May 13th from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on the square in Washington, with rain locations at the YMCA and the Washington Public Library.
