South Iowa Cedar League golf action continued Monday afternoon for the Keota Eagles. The Eagles boys’ and girls’ squads hosted the Montezuma Braves in a conference meet at Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota.

Three members of the Eagles boys’ golf team recorded nine hole scores below 50 strokes, winning the league match 198-225. Keota sophomore Riley Conrad earned medalist honors by shooting a 12 over 48 for the meet. Sophomore Jack Eakins and junior Avery Conrad both completed nine holes of golf in 49 strokes. The Braves were led by freshman Cameron Roorda, who completed the course in 50 strokes.

The Eagles girls’ golf team battled the two member Braves squad, completing the round in 260 strokes collectively. Senior Grace Shemanski was the meet’s medalist, carding a 12 over 48.

The Eagles return to action Thursday, hosting the Hartwick-Ladora-Victor Warriors at Lagos Arces Golf Course.
