The Iowa Jazz Championships will see three area schools compete next month. Winfield-Mt. Union, Mid-Prairie and Mt. Pleasant jazz bands have advanced to the state championships in Des Moines with their first and second place finishes throughout the season.

Sixty jazz ensembles from across the state will play in four different classes. Each class has 15 ensembles, all of which will perform during the day April 5th and then the top two bands from each class will perform in the evening finals. For a schedule click here.
