Mid-Prairie standout senior Alex Rath has been invited to play in the 2016 River Valley Conference All-Star game.

Rath was a key player in Mid-Prairie’s run to the state tournament in Des Moines. She was third for the Golden Hawks in scoring and ninth in the River Valley Conference with her 10 points per game. Her 74 assists were second best in conference play. She also had 58 steals, seventh best in conference action and 118 rebounds. Rath come up big in big games, posting a game high 24 points in a blowout road playoff win over Central Lee. Rath was also the leading scorer in the state quarterfinals against No. 2 Center Point-Urbana, finishing with 17 points, including 12 in the second half.

The Golden Hawks finished the year 16-9, bowing out in the state quarterfinals to the No. 2 rated Stormin’ Pointers 48-43. The River Valley Conference All-Star Game will be played Sunday, April 10th.
