Keota senior Nate Sieren was recently recognized by the South Iowa Cedar League as the winner of this year’s Golden Award for the conference.

Keota head coach Dan Stout explained that the Golden Award is an accolade given to a player who likely would have had an all-conference statistical season but who’s performance was hampered by injury. In his senior year, Sieren suffered an injury during football season, that limited his participation in basketball. He appeared in seven games this year for the Eagle basketball team, averaging 1.6 points per game.
