Two Washington High School singers have been named to a select choir of 140 students from six states. Senior Cale Raush a tenor one and junior Lex Hulme a soprano one will be taking part in the six-state North Central American Choral Directors Association Conference honor choir. They tell KCII News, they were excited to learn they’d been selected. Rausch dreams of one day being in a Broadway production.

The conference is in Sioux City, South Dakota through the weekend. Washington High School choir teacher Mike Jewell, who is retiring at the end of the year, shared he had 15 students audition for the choir and he has had students selected for this in the past. Jewell adds it is a great honor for Rausch and Hulme.
