ContiTech in Mount Pleasant is set to expand. The $7.2 million expansion will add 30,000 square feet to the industrial hose facility and increase capacity by 20%. Purchased in 1977, the plant currently employs 200 people in Mount Pleasant and with the expansion the company says it plans to hire 12 to 14 new employees. The expansion will break ground in the spring and will be finished by the end of the year.
