The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team dropped their final pre-Christmas break contest Friday against the visiting Pekin Panthers 64-29.

Pekin took control of the game early, opening on a 17-6 run that lasted the entire first quarter. The Panthers continued that momentum outscoring Iowa Mennonite 20-6 in the second frame to build a 37-12 lead at the halftime break. Pekin finished out the win outscoring IMS 27-17 in the second half. Iowa Mennonite was led on the evening by Suzanna Yoder with 12 points. With the loss IMS falls to 0-7 on the year.
