The Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball team stayed perfect on the young season, rolling through Columbus on the road Friday night 61-25.

IMS used a 22-3 run that started at the end of the first quarter and lasted through the rest of the first half to build a 32-11 lead at the halftime break. Iowa Mennonite continued to build their lead with a 12-0 run out of the halftime break on the strength of four straight three point goals, two apiece from Eli Gingerich and Nick Yutzy. IMS eventually pushed their lead past the 35 point mark early in the fourth quarter to enact the continuous clock in the win.

IMS was led on the night by Eli Gingerich, who followed up his career high 35 point performance Tuesday night with a 19 point game against Columbus including five three point goals. Nick Yutzy added 13 points, including three, three point goals and Cole Yoder had 12 off the bench for IMS. Columbus was led by Carter Colby with six points, all in the first quarter. With the win IMS improves to 4-0, Columbus falls to 0-4 on the season.
