Lake Darling State Park will host the premier of a new documentary chronicling the restoration of the lake. Dr. Faye Vittetoe of Friends of Lake Darling tells KCII News, the two-day event will show the new film and have a meet and greet with the film’s Executive Producer Samuel Koltinsky. Koltinsky has called the story of the lake’s reopening a story of American can do spirit. The 30 minute film shows the volunteerism and achievement it took for a small town to bring back the park. Those interested will have two opportunities to participate in the event, December 12th and 13th at 3 p.m. Lake Darling reopened in 2014.
