A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for a pharmacy in Washington Wednesday. The Washington Chamber of Commerce is holding the ribbon cutting at Bean’s Pharmacy on South Iowa Avenue, as it was recently purchased by Washington County Hospital and Clinics. In a statement released last month from WCHC, patients will benefit with electronic communication between the pharmacist and WCHC physicians and pharmacy records will be available electronically, providing real-time access to lab data needed for filling some prescriptions. Also, the pharmacists and employees will remain on staff. The ribbon cutting is at 11:30 a.m.
