WACO High School faculty and students are hoping to have its funds for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) opportunities renewed. All students 7th-12th grade are supplied with a Chromebook for use in class. In addition to the current offerings of the curriculum students also encouraged to participate in “+1 Fridays” or optional classes. On December 7th all staff and students will participate in a short assembly called “Hour of Code” to promote computer science literacy in students. Students will then hear from guest speaker Christopher Pitzen, who worked as a programmer on the popular “Guitar Hero” series of games to discuss among other things jobs in STEM.
