As winter and colder weather rapidly approach schools are sending out recommendations for how to dress elementary students. Schools say students should wear long pants and long-sleeves or jackets when temperatures drop below 40 degrees. When below 30 degrees students should have pants, coats, hats including hoods, headbands, or earmuffs to cover ears, and mittens or gloves. When snow is on the ground boots are also needed. If those guidelines are not met students may have to stay inside during recess periods. For weather updates stay tuned to KCII or visit KCIIradio.com.
