Last November, $1.7 million was distributed to area non-profit organizations by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation and they will be announcing the fall 2015 grant recipients tomorrow night. This fall the foundation received 76 applications requesting $6.1 million for area projects, a record high. Last fall the largest grant was presented to Halcyon House for their dementia care center for $750,000.
The Riverboat Foundation is a non-profit affiliate and the gaming license holder for the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. The award ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m., listen to KCII Radio Thursday morning for full coverage of the event.
