Wellman City Council met in regular session this week, among items discussed was the possibility of raising the deposits on gas and water service in the city. Deposit amounts are currently $75 on each. Council instructed staff to check around with other similar sized cities. Members approved resurfacing the floor of the skating rink at a cost of $3,100.

The city is continuing the take applications for the city administrator position. Current City Administrator Nick Pacha’s last day on the job will be November 13th. He is taking the park superintendent position with the City of Washington.
