The first round of the high school football postseason was last night with a number of area teams competing. The Washington Demons fell in overtime to Solon. The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks and the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves are advancing to the second round after their victories Wednesday evening. Other area teams who saw their seasons come to a close include Sigourney-Keota, Columbus Community, Lone Tree and Pekin.
