Artists across five southeastern Iowa counties are opening the doors to their studios this weekend. The seventh annual Southeast Iowa Artists’ Studio Tour is being held in Washington, Henry, Des Moines, Lee and Van Buren counties today and tomorrow. A variety of mediums will be on display from glass work to pencil drawings and pottery. Some artists have their work displayed at gathering places, in Washington these include Immanuel Lutheran Church, Blair House and Almelien Studio 2. In total, the tour has 25 stops with over 50 artists. There is no cost to visit the studios on the tour.

JoAnne Worley, who creates watercolor pieces in Washington, adds there is an incentive for students to take part as there will be one $50 certificate awarded in each county for art supplies for a student.
