The Iowa Mennonite School welcomed a new principal this fall. Steve Schrag began his new position at IMS on August 1st.
Schrag says the opportunity to work in a smaller school environment is one of the many things about IMS that attracted him to the job. He had served as principal at a Christian school for the past eight years. The new principal says he is looking forward to meeting all of the parents of students as the year goes on, calling parent interaction the key to excellent education.
Schrag replaced Timothy Lehman, who had been principal since July of 2014. Lehman told board members he resigned to be closer to his family in Indiana.
