High school enrollment at the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center is up this year from last year by 28 percent. This fall 220 students are enrolled in concurrent credit classes. Tera Pickens, director of the center, says Washington School District has the largest number of students enrolled with 128. There are also students from Highland, Keota, Mid-Prairie, Lone Tree and some home school students.
Pickens adds it is mostly upperclassmen enrolled, with 80.4 percent being juniors or seniors, and the remaining 47 students are currently sophomores or freshmen. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
