This is a big weekend in Wellman. The fifth annual Quad County Pork Fest will be held this Saturday. This annual event is a salute to the pork industry in Iowa.

There will be activities for the entire family at the event held in downtown Wellman. The tractor parade begins with the kids at 10 a.m. followed by the adults at 10:30 a.m. There will be a hog calling contest at 4 p.m., a mechanical bull will be set up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A pork burger eating contest will be held at 5:30 p.m. along with other activities throughout the day.

KCII will have the Big Red Radio in downtown Wellman during Saturday’s event.
