The United Presbyterian Home in Washington has announced an expansion for their retirement community. Construction will include an addition on to the south hall of the current Health Center, which will include 17 private rooms and the conversion of existing semi-private rooms to private rooms. It will also develop a 16-bed dementia specific area. The expansion will add extra room for wellness and fitness and a therapy pool. Multiple small dining rooms, as well as a family conference and lounge area are also in the plans.

The UP Home was established in 1947 and currently has 77 cottages, 30 apartments, 37 studio apartments, and a 52-bed skilled nursing facility.
