Temperatures over the weekend dipped down to 46 degrees. So far this month, Washington’s average high temperature has been 86.1 degrees, about seven degrees above normal. Also, the average low temperature has been about eight degrees above normal at 62.5 degrees.

Brad Small meteorologist with the National Weather Service, advises the normal first day in southeast Iowa for frost is early October.
