A meeting dealing with Highland’s upcoming bond referendum is being held tonight. The Highland Informational Group is holding the gathering at the middle school at 6:30 p.m.
According to group member Molly Rees, questions regarding the Highland Elementary central site proposal raised at their last meeting will be answered tonight. As a way to save money, a plan was developed earlier this year to replace the two existing elementary schools with a new facility that would be built next to the high school and middle school.
Voters in the district will decide September 8th if $10.4 million in general obligation bonds should be sold to finance the project.
Links to the floor plan, site plan and cost estimates can be found on Highland’s website.
