While Mid-Prairie softball player Amber Kral has made a verbal commitment to play at Minnesota State University following graduation, her sister, Chelsea, who graduated this year, will be playing next season at Mt. Mercy University in Cedar Rapids.

While Amber says she’ll miss playing along side her sister next year, she says Mt. Mercy will be getting a player who can perform both offensively and defensively, adding she can play other positions in the field than just second base. Mt. Mercy softball coach Larry Yoder told KCII sports earlier he is excited to have Chelsea Kral headed to his team next season, adding she has good power and she is the type of student/athlete he looks for in his program.

Amber Kral says after her verbal commitment to Minnesota State, she has decided to concentrate on just softball during her senior year at Mid-Prairie. Last year she was also a member of the Mid-Prairie girls basketball team.
