Southeast Iowa has one representative on this year’s all-state baseball team.
Sigourney outfielder Peyton Crawford was named to the Class 1A first team. The junior led the Savages in hitting with a .463 average, while slugging six homeruns and knocking in 37 runs. He also led the team in slugging percentage with a .793 mark.
Crawford also contributed on the mound going 5-4 on the season with a 2.39 ERA. Opponents hit just .143 against him. The Sigourney junior also played well in the field with an .857 fielding percentage.
The Savages finished the year with an 11-17 mark on the season.
