For Sigourney volleyball coach Chris Carter, continued improvement is the goal.
The loss of third team all-state player Jordan Carter does not mean a down year for this year’s team. Carter has several returning players from last year’s team and some promising young players. Among those back this year are seniors Montana McRunnels, who will be playing varsity for her third year and Sierra Davis, along with junior Anna Ohland and sophomore Leah Carter. The Savages coach is also expecting contributions from newcomers sophomore Brooke Waechter and freshman Sloan McGill.
Sigourney, who finished last year at 12-12, will open the season at Pekin, a team they lost to in their only match last season.
