John Heisdorffer is retiring from his role on the Iowa Soybean Association board of directors.His term representing district 9 alongside Mark Jackson ends in September. Heisdorffer, who farms outside of Keota, will continue to represent farmers and their interests through his position on the American Soybean Association board of directors. Heisdorffer says especially in Washington D.C., the representation farmers have is declining, so their job is to go to the capitol and try to explain to non-farmers what’s going on in the industry and what they need to be successful.
