Mid-Prairie senior Chelsea Krall will continue her softball career at Mt. Mercy University in Cedar Rapids next season.

The Golden Hawk second baseman will be attending Mt. Mercy University on a softball scholarship. Mt. Mercy softball coach Larry Yoder tells KCII sports he is excited to have Krall headed to his team next season, adding she has good power and she is the type of student/athlete he looks for in his program.

Chelsea Krall re-injured her foot at the end of the season, however Mid-Prairie coach Kara Beatty said it’s believed Krall just aggravated the earlier injury.

The second baseman hit .301 on the season and was named to the all-conference team. Chelsea Krall won’t be the only Golden Hawk playing at Mt. Mercy next season. Senior shortstop Jackson Yoder from the baseball team will also be at Mt. Mercy next year.
