Churches within the Mid-Prairie School District are coming together to get clothing to people in need. The Council of Mid-Prairie Churches is sponsoring a clothes give-away tomorrow from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to noon.
The event is being held in Kalona United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall located at 4th Street and C Avenue. During the annual event, families in need living in the Washington County area will be able to obtain used clothing, hats, shoes, coats and linens for free.
The council, which is made up of 15 churches, has held the giveaway for nearly a decade.
