An Iowa Mennonite School graduate is now the director of the Kalona Chamber of Commerce. Renea Pickard moved to Orange City to attend Northwestern College and started a family with her husband before moving back to Kalona. She says they wanted to be closer to family and friends. Pickard is staying busy, as the chamber is gearing up for the Iowa State Fair, where it operates a booth in the Varied Industries Building showcasing Kalona made products and selling them to fairgoers.
