Over 150 cyclists have registered for the first Rock N Ride event in Washington County this Saturday. Bicycles will travel from Washington on Riverside Road to Riverside and back with proceeds going to cancer research. Following the bike ride a banquet will be held and over 200 have already registered for the evening event.

The event is being organized by Dave Friese and Susan and Mike VanOsdol to raise money for cancer research at the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa, in honor of the late Kim Friese and Karen VanOsdol.

The cycling event begins at 8 a.m. at the KC Hall in Washington and is followed by the Rock N Relax evening gathering at the KC Hall. The Rock N Relax will feature dinner, music by Aces and Eights and an auction. Participants can register for either the Rock N Ride or the Rock N Relax or both, to do so click here.
