Monday is the next drop off day at PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington for the low cost spay and neuter program. Amber Talbot, director of the shelter, explains people can set up the appointment through the shelter. Owners then drop off their pet at the shelter and a shuttle transports them to the Iowa Humane Alliance clinic in Cedar Rapids. The pets undergo their procedures, stay the night, and come back on the shuttle the next day. The clinic and shuttle is available for all of Eastern Iowa.

The program helps lower the homeless pet population and over 100 local animals have been part of the program. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.

To schedule an appointment for your pet contact PAWS and More at (319) 653-6713.
