Progress continues to be made at Mid-Prairie Middle School. With the foundation and floors poured for the addition, electrical work has begun, and contractors are expected to begin installing pipes for the geothermal system this week.
The addition will house the district’s Home School Assistance Program and a technology room. According to Superintendent Mark Schneider, the program currently operates out of three small classrooms at Washington Township Elementary. He adds the addition will provide the program up to five times the space.
Now that school’s out, preparations are being made for the additions to the elementary schools in Kalona and Wellman.
